12 of us met Philippe, our guide, at 2pm outside Empalot metro station. An hour later we reached Pech David, having climbed steadily to the summit. In fact, we hardly noticed the climb, we were too interested in talking to each other in English. After a visit to the tower at the top of the hill, and a moment watching the dedicated men flying their model gliders across the splendid view of Toulouse, we set off back down the hill.
The walk had taken us around two and a half hours in total, but the threatened rain never came, and the pure air at the top of the hill was wonderful.
To be repeated next year!
A big thank you to Philippe for a lovely afternoon.
